A product about subscription transparency has to be transparent about itself.
Read-only access
Access to the detection sources you connect is read-only: Recurb reads them to find subscription details — the service name, the recurring amount, how often it bills and when it renews. Recurb does not write, send or delete anything in those sources, and it cannot move money. Recurb does send you alerts. You can remove source-specific and user-controlled data where controls exist; full account deletion and export requests currently go to admin@recurb.app until those settings are in the product.
Two separate permissions
Letting Recurb read your subscription information is stored separately from letting Recurb message you. Turning off WhatsApp alerts does not stop detection, and disconnecting a source does not silence alerts on another channel.
No payment control
Recurb cannot start, stop or change a payment. It shows you what is happening and guides you — the relationship with the service stays yours.
Scoped to your account
Records are scoped to your account, so other Recurb users cannot read them. Infrastructure and service providers may process data as described in Privacy. You can disconnect any source at any time from Profile → Data sources.
Deletable by design
Disconnecting a source stops any future access and scanning from it. Some sources have their own deletion controls — shared texts and statement imports can be deleted from Data sources — while evidence already collected from a mailbox may remain until you ask for it to be removed. Full account deletion and export requests go to admin@recurb.app.
Nothing hidden
Every subscription Recurb finds shows what it was based on, so you can check it and correct anything that is wrong.
